Help me with mansplainer

JeanneFrench · 23/05/2021 18:17

Man in public office writes on public social media that he has escaped to watch sports and drink alcohol but 'told the wife he's at work.'

A mansplainer (former friend) is telling me that this is funny.

I'm not as articulate as other MNers to get across to him why 'haha let's lie to the wife' is vile. Please help me.

Why would you even bother? You won't convince them.

I agree with pp, don't bother. Maybe type ''married to a man of honour, she's the envy of us all''.

You are right.

I'm just so disappointed. For years I have mistaken the person mansplaining for a feminist ally. I'm so stupid.

You're not. They never really are but tend to play the part well and memorise the right "speech".
