Gastritis from bile reflux?

Anyone else suffered from this? I post every so often in the hope I might find someone else eventually (& occasionally try the health section too!). If anyone has had this and has any advice I’d be really grateful! TIA!

Yes (gallbladder related)
I throw the following at it, in varying degrees:
Apple cider vinegar
Peppermint capsules
Peppermint tea
PPH inhibitors
Buscopan
Acidophilus probiotics
Digestive enzymes

Yes, it’s pretty common. Have you discussed it with your GP? There are meds that can reduce acid reflux. You need to protect your food pipe because long term reflux can cause permanent damage to your food pipe. I take daily omeprazole and use Gaviscon if I need it, I had a gastroscopy and I’ve got a hiatus hernia which made the symptoms worse but it’s manageable now.

Oh wow, thank you so much for responding @Geamhradh and @ThePontiacBandit!!! I’ve been diagnosed via endoscopy and finally have a prescription of sulcrafate....only been on it a few days and I believe it may take some time to make a difference....am trying not to get disheartened! I’ve also tried a slippery elm/DGL supplement and have some digestive enzymes (but it says not to take when you have gastritis on the packet🙄). Have some psyllium with acidophilus too which I’m taking in the evenings before bed. Great that yours is manageable now @ThePontiacBandit ....did it take you long to get it under control? Do you manage ok @Geamhradh? I’m in need of a bit of hope....currently terrified I’ll be living in constant pain forever😬!!

It took a while. Key thing was timing. I’d been taking mine with breakfast. A nurse advised me to take it first thing, give it time to work before I ate. I was on it twice a day, I’ve managed to cut down to mornings only now.

I think constancy is the thing. You kind of have a good day, so don't take the things...like today, after a week of walking about with a hot water bottle strapped to me, drinking vinegar (bleargh) and mainlining buscopan, I felt great, so didn't take anything. Now I've started twinging so have made some peppermint tea.
I've heard about psyllium. Might stick some of that on my list too!
Hopefully evicting my gallbladder later this year.
