Flat sheets instead of fitted on mattress ?

I have a deep super king mattress. I use fitted but often find they do not fit well, bunching at corners .

Would a flat sheet be an option ? I know they are meant to be top sheets.

Are you buying the extra-deep sheets ? I have a super king, and use super king sheets with no problem. You can use flat sheets if you like - they are not meant to be top sheets, they are for any use that you like. But be prepared to always have them popping out and needing to be pushed back under the mattress.

I've always used flat sheets. They work better imo.

I buy the extra deep and they fit and cover, but always find a bit extra material on corners so they don't fit smooth. I think a flat support king wouldn't be bog enough for the bottom ?

Do you go up a size ?

I know they are meant to be top sheets.

It's what they used until relatively recently, before fitted sheets became a Thing. Many places still use flat sheets - hospitals for example.

I am not sure they would tuck into a deep mattress . As its a super king not sure its that easy to get a bigger size .

I'd be dubious about a flat king sheet being big enough to use for a bottom sheet in this instance. Maybe - since you say your fitted sheets actually do fit but are a bit bulky - you could take them to a dressmaker and get them fitted properly ? Sounds like they just need a bit of adjustment.

It’s sort of that the corners can stick out a bit , only usually one corner and I have to push it down .

It’s not the end of the world, but frustrating .

Not usually. I have IKEA sheets right now and they seem pretty roomy.
