Haven't really got up yet
Have taken my coffee back to bed
The bliss of teenagers still being in bed and all being quiet
No plans today after a bit of a busy one yesterday
Anyone else enjoying a quiet cuppa?

Gosh that sounds lovely. Busy day yesterday and no plans today but worrying about how to entertain a three year old all day as it’s non stop rain forecast!

AnnieJ1985 · 23/05/2021 09:25

Me! On the sofa with the snoring dog having a brew and watching Sex and the City reruns. Nothing much planned for today, will see if DH wants to go somewhere later. Weather is so unpredictable though, we will probably head for a walk and get drenched.

The constant rain is so depressing
And stuck in with a toddler sounds tough

Not sure what to do today... Drive out somewhere nice? Go for a walk, go shopping, stay in and cook lunch, go out for lunch?
I want to do all of the above but not sure what to go for!

FlamingHot · 23/05/2021 09:25

Good morning! I also have sleeping teenagers and a cup of tea, bliss. I'm thinking about getting up but not very hard. I'm also thinking about starting 'small pleasures' by 'Clare Chambers' which I've heard is excellent but the mindless internet keeps drawing me back in. Tough times.

thismeansnothing · 23/05/2021 09:27

Yup. I got in from work at just gone 8 and the kids and DH were surprisingly still asleep. So a brew in the quiet it was because the quiet won't last long

Hobnobswantshernameback · 23/05/2021 09:27

I might head out and have breakfast in peace in a coffee shop for the first time in 6 months in a bit

My god tea is lovely.

Idontknowanymore05 · 23/05/2021 09:28

Hey! Has anyone made it out of bed yet? I wish I could've stayed in bed. We're off out before the rain starts! Kids are already being very loud!

HmmmmmmInteresting · 23/05/2021 09:29

It's so nice to have Sunday mornings back once the kids are teens. A perfectly silent house. Grin

I've also taken a cuppa back to bed. Bliss!Brew

We still can't eat inside restaurants here, I can't wait to be able to go somewhere for lunch.

FlamingHot · 23/05/2021 09:33

To be fair teens to stretch you to breaking point, the least they can do is give us a ruddy lie-in. God must be a man because no bloody way would a woman have peri/menopause happening at the same time as you have teenagers. Such a cruel joke.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 23/05/2021 09:33

Still in bed here
Can't face moving yet
One of the definite positives of teenagers
They sleep lateGrin

Toddler has had me up since 6 but I've managed to doze on the sofa while he watched cartoons. Currently got a cuppa and wondering how the hell we'll entertain him with the rain today!

Hobnobswantshernameback · 23/05/2021 09:34

I'm still in bed with my now cold coffee, just browsing the Internet and having a quiet 10 mins.

Thingywhatsit · 23/05/2021 09:45

I’m up with 7 year old, drinking lots of cups of tea. Teenagers are in bed. Unusually for me I stripped my bed at 8am and it’s just about to finish in the machine..... only did it so I didn’t get back in!

Need to Hoover and tidy - but I am being nice not disturbing the sleeping ones

shadypines · 23/05/2021 10:04

Flaming Hot, totally agree, my teenager is 22Confused. Currently enjoying toast and coffee though and trying to cling on to small pleasures in life!

Hobnobswantshernameback · 23/05/2021 10:45

Have ventured up and out for coffee
Still feels weird sitting inside somewhere
Definitely enjoying and making the most of simple pleasures

Still in bed here, can’t get going today! Have had tea and am currently trying to work up the energy to go downstairs and make a coffee...

JBaez · 23/05/2021 11:14

I need to get off MN and get up!

Sounds amazing! What luxury! I'm on the sofa in my pjs, trying to muster up the energy to do my 'big clean' whilst the kids are at their dads.

Sex and the City on the sofa sounds like rainy day BLISS

We were very late last night - at my sister's for outdoor cinema with 15 extended family 😍 Got back at 1am! So all shattered today & didn't wake up until 9.30am onwards

Tea in bed until 10.30am & I read my book, bliss.

Then got up & DH made hm sausage & egg muffins for brunch before heading off to football with DS1.

They are gone until 9pm so taking DS2 & DS3 to the cinema at 2.30pm, to see Peter Rabbit 2. They are currently playing happily & the cat is snuggling on my lap.

Pretty amazing weekend all in all.

purrswhileheeats · 23/05/2021 11:51

Good morning! (well, it's afternoon here) My friend messaged me early asking if I wanted to go for a 6k run at 8.30 😅 Bollox to that, I stayed in bed until 10 with my coffee and cuddly cats ☕🐱
