Things you will NEVER moan out loud about.

I moan plenty, trivial things, weeding,cleaning etc etc but there are some things I will NEVER moan out loud about.

Loading/unloading the dishwasher. We did without for so many years that I thank my lucky stars every day we have one. We have saved SO much time!

Doing the school run. I work part time so feel grateful that I get to do it a couple of days.

Don't get me wrong, I curse when it's raining and hate getting up on the morning, but I know some parents/carers don't get to do it.

Whats yours?

The sun! I live in a country very close to the sun and even though we do get winters, this year's was exceptionally warm and I was able to walk for miles every day during the January/February lockdown. I will start whinging and complaining though in mid-June when it's 35c and too hot to sleep

Anything my daughter’s nursery does, from the current queuing arrangements to requests for snack money and giving me a giant manilla folder full of glitter once a term. We get 15 hours free (I’m foreign and the nursery costs were low anyway, so this is practically witchcraft), the staff are brilliant and DD loves it. I’ll happily queue up, hoover glitter and donate cutlery for the mud kitchen or whatever the latest lark is.

The Sun. What IS that?

Ahhh I miss the days of my children coming home with 1 million pieces of glitter stuck to a piece of paper 🥰

I would never moan about thrush to a young man serving me in a shop.
