What would you think?

I posted a selfie on a Facebook group to show a top that I had made. Someone commented that I had "that ugly hot thing going on".

What does that even mean???? And why even comment on my looks when I was posting something I'd made?

I've had really low self esteem in the past and this would have really upset me. I know I'm not beautiful but I wouldn't say I'm ugly either.

Not even sure why I'm posting, I guess I'm just wondering what people would think of someone said that to them.

Who is this person?! Do you know them?! They sound like a sad loser. What an arsehole. Delete them. What a weird thing to say.
Social media is so dangerous, especially for those of us who already have low self esteem. Ignore them!

The person who posted that is a tosser.

Do you think they were talking about your top as opposed to your face OP? That would be my assumption, a comment on the style (like, the singer who sang ‘You say’ and wore ‘ugly’ secretary specs but was evidently very ‘hot’)

What a dick!! I remember when someone told me I wasn't conventionally attractive. I didn't ask, thanks!
