Where to put sofas and tv in this room

Moving soon and I'm struggling where to put furniture. Will be buying a new sofa/sofas too and I'm not really sure what type of sofas (eg corner or a 2 and 3 seater sofa) to get.

The bat window is where the radiator is located.

Could you move the door to the top right hand corner? You could then have two sofas along the two free walls, and the TV in a corner unit in the alcove next to the fire closest to the window.

I would put 2 armchairs (marked in yellow) near the window alcove, Lshape sofa along opposite wall. Coffee table in centre (red) & TV either above the fireplace or in corner alcove (marked in blue)

I would do similar to Penguin but only one armchair and the TV in the other corner so you can see it better from the sofa.

Definitely have to bottom left alcove. Other alcove means you'll get reflection from the window. Two sofas, with a nice console table behind one is what I'd do.

Will you actually use the fire?
Is it electric? If so, it might be worth considering removing it.
I did in my sitting room, and it's made a massive difference.

I don't really want to move the doorway.

We are definitely keeping the fireplace but will be changing it and making it a gas one.

There actually aren't any alcoves, as the chimney breast is on the outside of the house.

I'd do what Mull suggested
