Can anyone confirm either or both of the following from personal experience or absolute certainty?

  1. Proof of full vaccination is sufficient for entry (so no need to take an additional test);

  2. Madeira will give each visitor one PCR test.

Thanks.

1)At present, those who land at airports in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, can enter via the “green corridor” provided they present the vaccination certificate or proof of recovery from COVID-19, emitted up to 90 days, or a negative PCR test.
2)All passengers who, when disembarking, carry a negative PCR test for COVID-19, carried out within 72 hours prior to boarding, in laboratories certified by national or international authorities, can proceed to their destination.
On the otherhand, passengers who have not undergone PCR testing at their location of origin will do so upon arrival at the airport, then proceed to their destination, thus having to fully comply with the surveillance and self-reporting of symptoms, as well as the COVID-19 preventive measures, until a negative test result is obtained.

Thanks, that's what I'd read. Was just hoping someone could verify through personal experience!

I went to Madeira last October. We had a PCR test before we left and uploaded the result to the Madeira app. When we arrived we went through the channel for people who had already had a test. They looked up our results and we were through within minutes. It was very well organised. People who had their test on arrival were processed very quickly and had room service until their results came through. I can't wait to go back, we are booked in for October!

Thanks, but that doesn't answer either of my questions!

It is correct. Why would you not believe what the official tourist website says?

It wasn't a question of not believing the website, more of making sure I had understood it correctly.
