So sat here reading at the weekly newsletter from Which, and realised how old this was making me feel but how much I secretly love having a Which subscription!

What other things do you love that you used to to think were only for old people ?

Today I have been to the garden centre and got genuinely excited. That is proper grown up 😂

Having access to adult money, unfortunately 12 year old me is spending said money and theres no one there to stop me, hence t-rex bedside lamp, star wars lego and every nintendo console.

@GarlicThread

Having my own DC doesn't make me feel grown up, but having their friends round for dinner after school does. I feel all smug that I'm actually in charge of someone else's child for a few hours!
I have this, but I don’t feel smug, I mainly feel “why would you ever trust me with your child?!” I sometimes babysit my friends toddler and baby, I hadn’t considered that I had never looked after a baby until I had his ten week old baby overnight. Thankfully he didn’t see my ‘how to make a bottle’ google search Grin

ha!! in 2011 I suggested to DH we'd buy the Lego Death Star (10188) to our kids for Christmas. He asked if it was really for the kids🤣

Recently I reminisced about the circumstances of building it and then decided to rebuild it - just spent almost a month finding all the pieces because I had to go through boxes of loft crap.
I'm really looking forward to building it again!

@ConfusedAdultFemale

When someone actually listens to advice or information I give on topics I have a good knowledge on. Spent my entire childhood (and majority of my adulthood) not being listened to. The rare occasion someone actually listens to what I say I feel adult as hell.
Definitely this. A couple of friends have called me 'wise' which threw me, as I still feel like an immature kid even though I'm in my 50s.

Drinking water.
As a child I thought alcohol was the grown up choice. Now as an adult I realise it's actually water.

Driving on the motorway on holiday with the car full of children and holiday equipment. I did it for the first time a few years ago and was flooded with memories of being in the back of the car for such trips. I really felt like the grown up.
