Please could I ask if anybody has successfully understood from the tax credits people how they have come to have to pay back an overpayment?
I always put a claim in for tax credits but I haven't had any actual payment from them for about 5 years. I do the annual renewal as moneysavingexpert always recommends that you do.
Anyway I haven't had a payment for years but each renewal period they tell me that I owe them more money as they have overpaid. It's was £790 and it's now gone up to over £1000. But I haven't had anything paid to me by them.
Their system is so confusing and it's so hard to speak to someone but it's getting ridiculous.
Has anybody else had this situation and managed to get it resolved please?
