I hate the mornings

Getting up in the morning is hell for me. I stumble around like I'm drunk or hungover and go from one task to the next until I'm shouting at DS and DP like a crazed idiot.

Please share your tips on making mornings easier! Please! I hate getting up every day and it's really ruining things at home.
I need help as I'm just getting worse.

TIA

I've been using a tracking app for food (Cronometer) and also came across (probably nonsense) the Blood Type diet. When I make efforts to eat enough fibre, balanced macros and sufficient cals, and more veggie as I am Blood type A ( benefits from this) I feel better.

Did none of this yest and feel hit by bus!.

So its caffeine.

www.dadamo.com is the blood type food database

Solidarity,my friend.
I just dispatched my two DC, pre-teen and teen off to school. Both mood hoovering, both grumpy. Battle with youngest about reading a chapter of book they forgot last night, battle with another over packed lunch.

Result - packed lunch kid made their own as I downed tools & refused to continue, and book kid read said chapter and was so rude & ungracious I refused to walk to school with them and just waved them off, saying, "I'll walk with you when you speak more nicely to me."

Now going in bath with a cup of tea like Mrs Large before work.

Half term soon!

What time do you go to bed? Regardless of what time I need to wake up, I always aim for 23:00 at the latest because if I don’t get at last one hour of sleep before midnight, the morning is ruined. I’ll wake up grumpy and already exhausted, I need one hour (ideally 2) before midnight.

Also, no caffeine after 4pm and making sure I’m very regular with my B12 and D3 supplements, helps.

Go to bed at 11! Don't think that's too late.

I really like having quiet time on my own in the morning before everyone gets up. Extra time chilling makes the chaotic time afterwards slightly more bearable. So I normally get up at least 30 mins before I really need to get up.

Maybe I need to try getting up earlier and having "me" time?

Works for me!

I would suggest getting up 15mins before. Sit on the sofa with a hot drink. This works for me massively.

I also could prepare a bit before going to bed. I always walk into a messy kitchen which just depresses me before I've even got a cup of tea on the go.
