We are in the process of decorating our Victorian farmhouse and making it our own, having moved in September. The last owners left us a solid shaker kitchen, good fireplaces, nice ( old but traditional) bathrooms, quite a lot of homemade ironwork ( his hobby) and a gorgeous cottage garden.
I’m happy to keep a traditional farmhouse (but not #cottagecore, naffly old-fashioned or Aunt Petunia) farmhouse style and would love inspiration and ideas if anyone has decorated in this style.
Our favourite additions so far have been:
Some quite bold colour choices ( f and b) in the study and drawing room
Finding places for our paintings and a couple of new ones ( some inherited from family)
Gorgeous Persian-inspired drawing room curtains.
Ercol table and dresser for the dining room
Lots of bookshelves
Saving up for squishy Loaf velvet sofas and some original botanical watercolours.
Any inspiration/ ideas welcomed 🙂
