Sodding Amazon!

They really have surpassed themselves today. Ordered a fridge for delivery to my sister (she needed a new one). They have delivered it - over quite a high wall, into the neighbour's back garden. She can't get to it, the neighbour is out, it's pouring with rain. Can't do a return because we don't have the fridge!

I know, I know, I shouldn't have used Amazon. But I needed the damn thing delivered quickly and they were the only people who could do it in the time.

Sorry, hit send before I'd finished ranting. There's no "problem with order" button on the Amazon order page (normally my means of sorting this kind of thing out) and I'm chatting to a bot, which is very sorry about the inconvenience but has no suggestions. Does anyone have any practical experience of what to do next?

Wait for the neighbours?

There's an option to ask them to ring you. In my experience they call very quickly to sort things out.

DSis has to go to work (night shifts), otherwise she'd wait for the neighbours. I'm 300 miles away.

I'll try the call option.

Reply "chat to someone" to the bot. That takes you to someone.
"Talk to someone" means they call you Smile

Success, they've agreed to refund me! Thanks for your help, everyone. Now to order a new fridge from someone who won't throw it over the wall...

I mean there's some skill to getting a fridge over a high wall.

True - that delivery driver should possibly be training for the Olympics! Though it was only a small fridge, so maybe not that impressive.
