Any ideas for best friend's wedding gift?

My best friend of 40 years is getting married soon. Second marriage for both of them.

They have insisted no gifts but feel I can't not get them anything.

So any ideas for something less than £50 to give as a joint present or something just for my friend just to mark the occasion.

Personalised champagne flutes with names, date and location on them alongside a bottle of fizz.

I did this for one of my best friends but had to buy it twice because I sent the wrong date to be engraved.

How about something for the garden like a
Nice lantern or something or even an afternoon tea voucher

I'd give them a nice bottle of wine or champagne.

Please, check if they would like something personalized like champagne flutes. I personally would not like them and there is no way to pass them on to anyone else because of the personalisation. Such a waste.

Just a nice bottle of whatever they drink!

My BF gave us a fortnight of dog sitting so we could go on honeymoon - best thing she could have done for us, saved us a fortune!

A few lovely roses

Agreed!!!!

If they've said no gifts I'd go with that and definitely not buy them personalised stuff. I would buy them alcohol you know they drink or a voucher for a shop you know they like.

I bet they already have a house full of 'stuff' and don't want a load added to it.

A voucher for a restaurant you know they like? Afternoon boozy tea… my dh loved it and never thought he would

What about a plant of whatever her bouquet flowers are - a nice small rose in a pot could be lovely. We asked for no gifts when we got married but our very closest friends(our bridal party) gave us a lovely large wooden cheeseboard for our kitchen with the date engraved - was perfect (and unexpected) as we’d just done a big house improvement.

Otherwise agree on giving them a bottle of whatever they drink, and either personalise the bottle or in a personalised gift box (they can then keep all their cards in).

How about a little personal book (eg from Blurb or Photobox etc) - some pics of her throughout your lives, pics of the couple, pics from wedding, and maybe some messages from you and other friends/family (they can be handwritten and photographed). It's a lovely memento, doesn't take up much space, not expensive, and is unique. I've done similar for a few friends and sent them once they're printed a few weeks after the wedding, by which time the honeymoon's over and things are "normal" so they appreciate a little memory
