My DS17 has an in growing toe nail, he has had antibiotics from the Doctors 3 times now over the last 18 months but only helps in the short term. The Drs don't refer anymore apparently.
He has been to the podiatrist who has trimmed the side and he is booked in to have the side of the nail removed and killed off. I've moved this date forward because he really wants to do his D of E expedition and the podiatrist said it's a 6-8 week recovery.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
The ideal would be to forget the D of E and have the nail op now but he has done all other elements of the D of E silver (should have done the walking part last year), he's missed out of so much, he really wants to take part with his friends rather than wait another year.
He has another appointment next week for another trim of the side nail but it's starting to look inflamed.
