I'm not well-travelled so mine will appear quite modest but the view over the Julian Alps from the cable car at Bohinjska Bistrica (Slovenia) is quite something. I think my favourite is the view over Bishopdale and up Wensleydale, as seen from the bridleway and rocks on the western flank of Penhill in North Yorkshire. The landscape has a lot of depth and really fills the eye. I haven't been round there for years so I must go back some time.

The vista beneath Sutton Bank in North Yorkshire is also quite a sight to behold.

The view of Half Dome from the top of Glacier Point in Yosemite was breathtaking.

The Cuillin from Elgol on the Isle of Skye.

Hands down my most favourite view on the planet.

DH bending over. I think I need a cold shower.

Yay! I'm going to the Isle of Skye this year.

Flew over the Pyrenees years ago and was a beautiful sight.

It's wonderful!! Have you been before? So many amazing places to visit. Best to take a raincoat but it's still spectacular whatever the weather!

Glencoe. It made me burst into tears which was very surprising! I found it a bit overwhelming. And the Maldives - it looks exactly like it does in the brochures.

A few metres under the Mediterranean, seeing some little flashes in front of me, then caught completely by surprise as thousands of silver fish charged towards me being chased by porpoise. It happened so quickly.

The view from my garden, in September when the valley is shrouded by mist with treetops appearing like little islands surrounded by waves.

Alnmouth.

The view along the coastline of Lyme Regis from the beach at West Bay, just after sunset. Still a hint of colour in the sky, but the house lights twinkle as they start being switched on for the night. Just beautiful.

Approaching Venice in a water taxi from the airport. You suddenly see that Cannaletto painting in the flesh and it is genuinely breathtaking.

Also I live in suburbia. Within a 15 minute walk I can be in the countryside. We're quite high up on the North Downs and there's a point on our usual walk where the whole of London is spread before you from the Wembley Arch in the West to Canary Wharf in the East. On a clear day It's magical.

Mine are all from a trip to Australia a few years ago.
The sunset at Carlo Sand Blow in Rainbow Beach
The view over Fraser Island from a tiny plane
The views across the ocean the whole way around Noosa National Park

I didn’t love Australia in general but the Gold/Sunshine Coast was incredible and I wish I’d had more time to travel further north to Cairns
