Recommendations for a wildlife camera please!

DH and I have just moved into our forever home which backs onto woodland. We've been told there's a badger set and that they frequently come into our garden at night time along with foxes. DH and DS are very excited at this prospect so I want to buy an outdoor wildlife camera (I'm guessing the type that's motion activated?) Can anyone recommend one that doesn't cost the earth- cheaper the better but obviously want one that gets good quality images!

Thanks all 😊

You are very lucky. Sorry I can't recommend a camera, but do you think you could register the sett or badger sightings to the Badger Trust or your local badger group.

Have a look at a Bushnell Trail camera
They're the ones you usually see in the nature programmes on TV

We have this one. It's fairly decent for the price. It's motion sensitive so make sure you cut any branches in front of it. You can adjust the length of recording - we do it for ten seconds. It takes a picture before it records the video too. Has night vision.

Thanks for the recommendations @sunnysidegold and @accentdusoleil. Will have a look!

@HappyRaven we are indeed. They're digging up our lawn in places and I worry slightly about our dog approaching one when he goes out for a wee at night but I used to do badger watching as a child and feel lucky to have them so close. Will definitely register the sett 😊
