Contraceptive Implant removed

Hi, I've had the implant removed (nexplanon) a week ago after being on it for 6 horrible months..i would bleed constantly, had maybe 20 days in total with no bleed, awful mood, depression, grained 16lbs in weight... I'd actually lost 14lbs during pregnancy and continued to lose but the weight came on fast once implant went in. So after trying pill and implant together and seeing no improvement dr took it out. But since day 3 of removing it I've had light bleeding and painful cramps every day. Has anyone else had this issue? I wasn't told of any side effects from having it removed. Just wondering when ladies got their regular periods back.

I was on the implant for 3 years but during that time I didn’t really settle (still had periods etc). They say periods/fertility return straight to normal afterwards. However, I didn’t have a period for 6 weeks after it was removed and when I did it was only 3 days of very light spotting - I was expecting quite a heavy period so was really surprised. The doctors told me it was unusual with the implant as usually your body returns to ‘normal’ straight away but to give it a couple more weeks and see what happens...

I don’t have much to add as I then got pregnant 2-3 weeks later.
