From memory, Hever.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 17/05/2021 19:48

Hever.

LIZS · 17/05/2021 19:49

Hever has a large play area and water maze,

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 17/05/2021 19:57

My 2 (aged 2 and nearly 4) loved Hever Castle recently. I haven’t yet visited Leeds castle so I can’t compare the two but Hever is a lovely day out and the playground is sure to be a big hit with them.

Hever

ReggaeTramp · 17/05/2021 20:14

Took my boys (3 and 6) to Hever a couple of weeks ago and they loved it. Particularly the water maze and playgrounds. 6 year old said the fort is the best playground he’s ever been to!

FaceyRomford · 17/05/2021 20:38

Hever if you have young children.

billyt · 17/05/2021 20:42

Stayed at both of these just before lockdown. We didn't have any kids with us but seeing the play area, then with kids? definitely Hever.

Leeds was good but seemed smaller than Hever.

billyt · 17/05/2021 20:43

And we're actually going back to stay again at Hever in a couple of weeks Grin

Mama1980 · 17/05/2021 20:46

Hever, the water maze is brilliant but take spare clothes!

Raindancer411 · 17/05/2021 20:54

Leeds castle tickets if brought now are valid for 15 months so you can keep going back. It's not to far to walk for little legs, has a restaurant and play areas. As well as birds of prey displays.

Cakeonthefloor · 17/05/2021 21:37

Hever

Egghead68 · 17/05/2021 21:38

Hever’s fun

MegBusset · 17/05/2021 21:38

They're both a good day out. Hever is more 'castley' IYSWIM

Leeds has a playground, a maze, a bird display and lovely gardens. Perfect for small children.

QueenOfCatan · 17/05/2021 21:54

Haven't been to Leeds but Hever is lovely! I haven't been for a few years and can't wait to go this summer!

DappledThings · 17/05/2021 22:32

I don't know Hever but Leeds is brilliant. I have a 3 and 5 year old too and we go a few times a year. There is an enormous 3 storey play fort and a smaller one for smaller children with loads of tunnels and slides, a maze and the grotto, mini-golf and falconry displays. And the walk from the car park up goes through lovely little woodland paths.

butwhatcanwedo · 17/05/2021 22:42

I’d say Leeds castle for young kids. Great play areas. Crazy golf, maze, grotto and the castle itself is great. Little train and boat depending on season. We take a picnic. But the ice cream is good by the playgrounds.

Cindy87 · 18/05/2021 15:19

Thanks for the input everyone x

Hever.

TwoAndAnOnion · 18/05/2021 15:31

Leeds has a massive play area, and the boat, and punting in the moat, the maze and grotto - plus tickets are valid for 12 months

Glitteranddirt21 · 18/05/2021 17:11

We love Leeds Castle have had season tickets for years kids love it especially feeding the ducks (they sell the food in the shop) on the way down to Castle and play parks. Is a lovely day out. Like pp we take a picnic loads of places to stop and as the ticket last a year they have loads of events which hopefully will start again like motors by the moat and the Christmas fair, flower shows too that your ticket still admits you too.
