Ds 4 and I got soaked on the way home. He jumped into bed when we got home to warm up, and asked me to snuggle him.
I bet you can see where this is going.... We've just woken up .
He's not going to sleep again till midnight, is he?!

I did that with Ds once, he was 3. It was 5:30pm when he fell asleep so I thought I’d got away with it. 2 hour early bedtime. Utter joy.

I had an entire evening even got a pizza. Bliss.

Until I was assaulted with a Bob the builder digger at 4am with a wide awake Ds wanting to play.

Ah, how lovely. You'll remember it fondly in years to come. Possibly not over the next 24 hours though...

He is very much wide awake, and to add insult to injury, is watching annoying Ryan
I did love the snuggle though, to be fair. Something about falling asleep with your little one makes it feel more relaxing...
