What does this recurring theme in my dreams mean?

Quite often my dreams feature having to squeeze through, climb through, crawl under, small gaps or spaces.

For example in my dream I'll be in a house and to go from room to room I'll have to crouch down and crawl through a gap. Whatever is happening in my dream will mean that I have to do this loads and in my dream I'm aware that it's a bit of a PITA.

What does this mean in dream interpretations?

I know nothing about this sort of thing but I'll have a crack at it...

Do you find that whatever you want to do, there are always obstacles? Perhaps you are often bowing down to others, changing or contorting yourself to fit in with their needs.

I used to have this sort of dream all the time! Just like yours I had to crawl through tiny gaps between rooms and things, or through a small hole to get to the next floor or something.

I used to think maybe it was a fear of childbirth - a person going through a small space - but I really don't know! I don't have the dream as much these days (but don't have any DCs either!)

Is it your house, and is it any specific rooms eg cellar?

CompleteBarstool · 17/05/2021 08:45

@BlueTongueSkink - Definitely not childbirth! Did that years ago and way past having any more!

@Tribblers No it's not my home, just random places. Not always indoors either, wherever I am there's just always things to climb through/over/around and gaps to squeeze through

@JustGiveMeGin The explanations on that link make sense I suppose especially considering the last year where everything has been restricted. Outside of the pandemic situation I guess I have been feeling a bit "stuck" in life, maybe needing to branch out a bit but not knowing where to start.

Thank you all

Oh I have these too. Climbing a passage that gets narrower. It’s horrible. I’ve had them for years.

I’ve also had a dream since I was a child that I’m on a plane that can’t take off.

I put it down to either a) my life is just shit and I’m always trapped one way or another when I try to do something or b) I’m a fat fuck so my brain is warning me not to get my arse stuck some where.
