Beneden health - how to use it?

I signed up with beneden health last year, can someone give me a simple guide to how it works as I just get more and more confused.

I need to see gynae again as my Pain is out of control as NHS waiting list is very long in my area (several years) for a first appointment unless on cancer pathway, thankfully not needed but I was signed off from gynae previously so am starting from scratch again.

I was going to go through beneden if possible, so if my GP does a referral to NHS in the first instance and so I join the waiting list, do I need to actually see the NHS consultant before I can use beneden or does the time on the waiting list for the first appointment count for beneden.

As you can tell I am clueless but cos of the waiting list in my area is the reason I signed up for beneden as due to a long list of pre existing conditions, I would be paying massively for other insurance or they would be excluded.

Could anyone please walk me through it step by step in very simple terms. Thank you ❣️

All the details are on their website but you need to follow the attached flow chart

Thank you. I look at the website and the other documentation but it overwhelms me so the flow chart is very useful

You need a letter from the gp saying 'notanotherboxoffrogs' needs to be referred for (blah blah) but the NhS waiting time is (large) amount of weeks.
Then benenden deal with you really quickly. And despite the limit being 1800 per illness, they seem to fully pay for hysterectomies.

Also the telephone GP is a wonderful thing too, you can video consult when you can't get through to NHS

Brilliant thanks for this. Will sort that out this week ✔️
