Can my neighbours hear my white noise machine?

NDN's love playing loud music (particularly the teenage son) - won't go into detail but after a bit of a confrontation with them earlier this year we are on 'good' terms and while the situation has improved I still struggle when they do play their music.

To help myself cope I have started putting 'white noise' on my alexa to mask the sound of their music, sometimes just enough to cover it a bit and other times I must admit I do whack it right up as it makes me feel better!

I just wondered if you have ever heard 'white noise' music/sounds coming from your neighbours? My DH always says there is no way they can hear it as it's an ambient kind of sound but I just wondered!

Can't help with your question but I'll bump this post to state that I never knew this was a feature and now I know what to do next time DH is being obnoxiously loud on a Teams call in the next room Grin

It is a real life saver! "Alexa, play white noise" is said more in our house than anything else I think Smile

I need to try this out - we use a white noise machine for my daughters hyperacusis. This may be better!

Anyway, na, your neighbours seem to have trouble with their hearing when their music is as loud as it is - they won’t hear your white noise Grin
