I've been on the highest daily dose of naproxen for 2.5years for an as yet undiagnosed joint condition.
For the past 2 weeks I started having severe stomach problems. I got a Dr's appointment and was advised thatbthey may be damaging my stomach and to take 40mg omeprazole at the same time. She also asked me to consider stopping them if I can.
To begin with, I thought there was no way I could stop them because I was in a lot of pain whilst taking them. I thought about it and stopped taking them 3 days ago while I wait for the omeprazole because the stomach issues were crippling me.
Well....i feel better than I have in a long time! I've felt like I've been living in a fog for a while and borderline depressed and it's just gone! All the stomach issues have gone immediately and whilst I have pain it's different to before and not totally consuming.
Has anyone else had this?
