Child's attitude changes with wider family

I have a 3 year old. He's a lovely polite sweet boy, however I've noticed that when we're with my parents or the in-laws he can have a little more attitude with me and his dad.

I'm assuming this is pretty normal? Just a bit excited and impatient with interruptions to the toys and attention from lovely grandparents?

Completely normal. He's showing off a d pushing boundaries

I think it’s testing the boundaries to see what he can get away with when other people are there. My DD can be like this so we’re just consistent

Yeah I don't pull him up on every little thing but when he spills over into bratty territory I will put my foot down
