I sleep text and call...

Hello!

Just that really..
As crazy as (I know) it sounds!

I have always been a very active sleep Walker and talked since I was very young - my family have a whole hoard of stories that they share with me about my sleep walking adventures!

A few years ago; I woke up to 4 missed calls and 3 extremely concerned text messages from a family member, after I had sleep 'text' them at 2.30 in the early hours.
When I scrolled back through the text message conversation, it was there!
I would add the screen shot; but it contains personal and outing info so in short I will explain what it was:
I had text my family member to say my long term partner was in 'the house' (don't know what house lol!) with his girlfriend, the kids (don't have kids!) were in the out houses and the house is burning down. Will everyone be okay? Do I go in and try to save DP & his girlfriend?

There was other outing info which I haven't included, but that's the overview of it.

That was several years ago and (to my knowledge) I haven't done anything similar since..

BUT

Last night I called my sister, again in the early hours of the morning.
All I remember this morning was that I had a very very vivid dream where she was due to come round in the afternoon, and it was now (in my dream) 10:30pm and she still wasn't here and I was worried sick.

Anyway, I must have called her - as she answered and completely snapped me out of my sleep / sleep 'walking' as soon as a she answered.
I can't really remember what I said but she has told me this morning I sounded really confused snd shaken up and then just hung up when she asked if I was okay 😩🤣

It does sound funny, yes - but I'm getting concerned now that if I'm capable of this in an 'unconscious' state, who else could I potentially contact (I'm thinking work boss, important contacts...) which could be seriously detrimental to me!

I know the obvious answer is to keep my phone in a different room which I am going to begin doing now - but just interested to see if anyone else has ever had this before / done similar!

To some this probably sounds completely unrealistic..I wish it was made up! 🤣

Sorry that was a long one!

I also sleep walk A LOT !!!
I often wake up / come round and I'm standing in a random room of the house. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Seek advice from your GP and don’t be fobbed off.

I haven’t done it in years but when I was in my 20s I used to sleepwalk and once even left my flat to go walkabout which could have resulted in harm to myself.

This has freaked me out 😂 Once I sleep walked and flushed or tried to flush my pyjamas down the toilet. Woke up naked and they had been put wet in the bath. Most confusing.

Not done it since but any sleep walking is probably going to involve being nude.

My internal front door has a lock that is very hard to break. Might start locking the balcony door, its the third floor!
