Lateral flow test reporting - anyone else having trouble?

DH did a test yesterday and I did this morning (both negative!) but we can’t get the reporting site to work. You go all the way through the process then it kicks you out at the end and you have to start the whole bloody thing again. I can’t see anything online about this being a problem, is anyone else experiencing this?

And yes, I know I could phone up but life is too short to sit on hold for god knows how long... they’re both negative and that’s the most important thing.

I wouldn’t waste any time on it. Especially as negative. Lots of work places say to test Sunday (and Wednesday) so could just be traffic volume.

Spudlet · 16/05/2021 09:05

No I agree. I’ve tried twice and DH just have done the same - I feel like we’ve given it enough time, tbh. I was just wondering if it was just us as I’ve never had a problem before 🤷‍♀️

Ah well!

We don't report any of ours which have all so far been negative, and we're not the only ones. The whole thing is an utter ball ache.

It’s handy to have a bit of reassurance before we see DFiL on a Sunday - he’s in our bubble. Obviously we’re still cautious and everything, and he’s two weeks post second jab now anyway, but it’s still good to have that. But I agree, the reporting process is a PITA.

I do it twice a week for work and the site was playing up for me last Thursday. Like you I’d get so far through and It kicked me out at the last stage

Not just you. I've been doing them for a few weeks now and reporting online. Yesterday it wouldn't work. I called the number and reported it, but it did take about 10 minutes. They sent usual text and email confirmation.
TheApprentice · 16/05/2021 09:17

Happened to me yesterday too. It's a right pain.

Rockbird · 16/05/2021 09:21

Yes me too. I couldn't find anything online. I eventually managed to report them last night by using it as a guest and not logging in but yes, total PITA. It's usually so quick.

MozzarellaMonster · 16/05/2021 09:22

My DH is trying to do ours and getting no luck ... I've inform him it's not just us

CrabbyCat · 16/05/2021 09:24

We couldn't do ours yesterday, like everyone above we failed at the last stage. We tried separately a couple of hours apart. We're going to have another go today then give up.

rulesofthecar · 16/05/2021 09:26

Yes, same problem here, and it won’t let me log the result as a guest either. I’m not going to phone 119 as it was negative anyway. Glad to hear it’s not just me.

iwishiwasonhol · 16/05/2021 09:30

not working for me either ,will try later on today if not i will just give up

EversoDelighted · 16/05/2021 09:36

We have up reporting about a week ago, still doing the tests but CBA with the reporting.

JudgeRindersMinder · 16/05/2021 10:33

I wonder if the reporting system simply can’t cope with the increased numbers of people testing?

VienneseWhirligig · 16/05/2021 10:38

Just phone 119 and report it. For those who don't log negative test results, it's really important that all results are logged because then the government can measure the success rate of the road map and vaccines. If there is a large swathe of people out there who are definitely negative but don't report, the next steps in the road map are based on more uncertain data. If all negative were logged it would be a much more solid evidence base from which to say that controls are working, and it is less risky to open things up.

Potcallingkettle · 16/05/2021 10:48

Make sure you have registered on the NHS app ( not the Covid app). Then when you go to report a lateral flow test, just click the sign in option and lots of the info you need is stored. Much quicker and less chance of crashing.

Very good point - testing is not just to reassure ourselves, but to give data for the community at large.
Oldraver · 16/05/2021 11:26

Are you talking about the NHS one ?

DS is supposed to be reporting his on a testing site that I think sends details straight to school AND the NHS one. I've never got the testing site to work yet they constantly harrass over reporting. We've decided not to bother and will just inform school if it's positive

With work we have to report to NHS the forward the email

itsgettingwierd · 16/05/2021 11:28

I struggled Friday to report thursdays test so I didn't bother.

My work takes a nite anyway and as you said if it's negative it has no ramifications if they know or not.

The useful thing for them is the positivity rate of LFT of positives and negatives but the odd missed report shouldn't affect that too much I wouldn't think?

MargaretThursday · 16/05/2021 11:29

Was happening for me yesterday too. I tried logged in so I didn't have to enter all the info, not logged in, on my phone, on the pc...
Eventually it did go through on about the 8th try.

EversoDelighted · 16/05/2021 12:38

I have my own details saved but am also logging results for my DCs who have struggled to do their own and my phone can only save one login. Then logging it to both their schools, plus the Zoe app, it just takes too long.
