If you were/are anti- baby headbands

What did you so when your DD needed something to keep hair out of eyes/tamed and it's too short to tie up?

I am quite a practical dresser and dress my DC in a practical manner as well- leggings/tops/cardis rather than anything frilly/fluffy/long dresses etc.

Headbands I always think look so uncomfortable (wearing sunglasses for too long gives me a headache, I'd hate to have a big elastic band round my head all day) and I would worry about clips coming loose and being a choking hazard Confused

Any good alternatives that you can recommend?

Thanks!

Different hair cut? DS's is fairly long but we get it regularly cut, fringe and front especially

I used to do a tiny pony tail at the front with a little hair bobbin

I always used hair clips. Removed them for naps, obviously.

I used to shape DS’s hair into a fin/fauxhawk with a little bit of moisturiser 😅 used a headband for mealtimes but it didn’t suit him. A tiny front ponytail too sometimes.

Hair clips at first and then just tied up the top part, like a little palm tree on top of her head. It was long enough to tie up like that by the time it started getting in her eyes.

Clips but the larger ones rather than those tiny wee ones.

Hair clips or an onion top.

A clip (one of the metal ones that snap/flex shut) to one side or a little ponytail on top of her head like a carrot top. Just used a small soft hair tie or a clear “no snag” elastic band I’d then snip out with nail scissors.
