Just thinking about how much I enjoy early mornings. I would never have myself down as a morning person, but I really enjoy getting up at 6 or 7, brewing a lovely steaming mug of coffee then sitting down to watch the birds in the garden or read my book.

I suppose it's the only time of day I get any peace Grin

I like first thing in the morning, about the same time as you, when I have half an hour with a cup of tea & sit in silence before anyone's up.

Either then, or about now. We're done for the day & everyone's doing their own thing but the girls come down quite often for a chat. I have a steaming cuppa & am about to pick up my crochet for a few hours after a browse round t'interweb :)

Early hours or bedtime!

SleeplessinEastSussex · 15/05/2021 19:01

First thing in the morning. I get up at 5am so I get a couple of hours to myself

Winterfellismyhome · 15/05/2021 19:04

DS' bedtime

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 15/05/2021 19:06

The hour after the DCs go to bed when I still have a bit of energy left.
I love the feeling of sudden peace when they're both asleep (even if we've had a lovely day) and I can just stop being responsible for them for a little bit.

530/6am some days I go for a run others I have a quiet cuppa and walk around my garden looking at everything that's growing

Amboseli · 15/05/2021 19:09

Early morning before everyone else is up. Love having breakfast alone, either in the kitchen or garden in the peace and quiet.

Amdone123 · 15/05/2021 19:12

I love early morning (5am ish) and late at night ( 7pm !).
I'm early to bed, so waking at 5am is no problem. I make a cup of tea and sit in bed with my dog. So peaceful. I plan my day and write in my journal.
7pm is when it all goes quiet in my house. Having a hot chocolate, talking to the dog and hoping for better weather tomorrow.

TheChosenTwo · 15/05/2021 19:12

Bed time!
I get up every other morning at 5:30 for a run, I absolutely hate it but do like the fact that the house is quiet when I get back, however I don’t have time to enjoy is as I’m rushing about getting ready for work.
I look forward to bedtime all day! There’s no place quite like it, my book, sometimes one of the dc will come in and say hello and flop on the bed... just so relaxing.

Ellieboolou33 · 15/05/2021 19:15

Around 11pm when usually everyone is asleep and I have a few hours to read or watch TV

Stretchandsnap · 15/05/2021 19:16

Early in the morning 5.30-6am - while it’s all quiet and no is yelling Mummmmmmmahyyyy

Lowlight282 · 15/05/2021 19:17

Early morning doesn't work in this house as DH and DS get us 5 every bloody day (faulty gene I swear) DS is 14!!

I work part time so 2 days a week I spent a couple of hours whizzing around, getting all the house work/admin done, walk the dog etc then I make a hot water bottle, light my lavender candle, make a nice lunch and a cup of tea and I get back into bed to enjoy it then I have a nap for a couple of hours. It feels like absolute heaven, I love it!

EssentialHummus · 15/05/2021 19:33

Like you OP - I often wake naturally at around 6am and have a quiet cup of coffee with the paper before DD wakes up. I really battle without it.

DrEllie · 15/05/2021 19:36

I feel I need to chip in the night owls. I love the night, the moon, the quiet of midnight. But I am a bit of a goth 🦇
