Itchy face and neck possibly menopause related

Posting here for traffic and because it’s driving me mad. For a while now I have itchy skin on the side of my face and sometimes on my neck. I am 48 and think it’s menopause related.I don’t have any other menopausal signs yet. There are red bumps there but not overly visible, I can feel them though. Doctor hasn’t been much use and has just suggested anti itching cream but I feel like I could get through a tube of that every day. It can happen throughout the day but mostly at night. I’m wondering if anyone else has suffered with this and has any suggestions as it’s driving me crazy.

I have had a really bad itchy back for about a year and I think I'm perimenopausal (I'm 46). No rash but just so itchy. It's driving me mad. Apparently it is one of the symptoms.

OP I had the same but it was up my arms. Drove me crazy. It has faded away now I’m on wonderful HRT. So your suspicions may well be right. GP was useless just prescribed steroids but my inference is that it was hormonal imbalance.

Neck and inner arms for me. I use Eurax cream and that lasts for most of the day. It is frustrating as I don't know whether it's menopause or an allergy to the moisturiser. My skin is very dry and I have to use something.
