Now then OP!! Thats fighting talk there lol ....My husband is biting his nails having been a LCFC all his life! He says he has waited 52 years for this cup final ! Good luck to both teams I say as while he is busy occupied with you and the telly box I am off to browse netflix! Enjoy the match xx

Elderflower14 · 15/05/2021 17:15

Didn't think much of that version of the National Anthem!! Confused

Neutral here but hoping for a Leicester win.

Elderflower14 · 15/05/2021 17:47

Ds2 is watching in Kent.. He's deaf so we are having an interesting Whattsap conversation. He and my Mum have decided Rudiger is Batman!!! 🤣 🤣

@Elderflower14 I'm with you! Watching and it's lovely to see and hear supporters in the ground.

Elderflower14 · 15/05/2021 17:58

We've said that too... My gorgeous Giroud is on the subs bench... Hope he comes on...

Ds2 is thrilled there is a Wilfred on the pitch. He is less than thrilled that he is a Leicester player.. He wants him sold to Chelsea!!

It is great to see (and hear) the crowd.

I do hate the Gary Linnekar / Alan Shearer / Ian Wright old boys, "look at us" combination though - what was all that showing clips of them singing about ? Nothing to do with this match, or either of the teams. Once again "all about me".
Can't understand why the BBC continue to pay them - there are so many better options already employed by the BBC without even having to look further.

Elderflower14 · 15/05/2021 18:23

I prefer them to Glenn Hoddle.. If I told you what I thought of his views on disabled people I would get a life ban from Mumsnet!!

Neutral here too but sorry OP I want Leicester to win on their fifth time (I think?) of being in the final Star

Sparticle · 15/05/2021 19:04

Arrrggghhh!!!!

user1471453601 · 15/05/2021 19:04

Off side, clearly.

Sparticle · 15/05/2021 19:09

Yep, millimetres but def offside.

Blimey I can’t wait to be back in a stadium.

Elderflower14 · 15/05/2021 19:37

I'm sad for Chelsea but pleased for Leicester. Such a shame their lovely owner wasn't there to see it. Made me feel very emotional to hear they keep his picture with them when they play...

OP posts:
SlipperyDippery · 15/05/2021 19:39

I’m a neutral but I just wanted to say how emotional it was seeing real life fans in the stadium (most notably the cheering of the VAR decision! Grin )

Bad luck to Chelsea, but it seems somehow fitting that fans were back to see the trophy go to Leicester given it is a city that has barely been out of lockdown and has suffered so badly.

newnortherner111 · 15/05/2021 19:52

Congratulations to Leicester City, and an excellent goal to win any game.

VeniVidiWeeWee · 15/05/2021 19:58

@elderflower14

I think you'll find that Top Srivaddhanaprabha was there.

Top match.....Tielemans, Scmeichel,Fofana,VAR......brilliant....delighted in our house....yessssssssssss🏆🙌🏻🤸🏽‍♂️⚽️

ArcherDog · 15/05/2021 20:02

I have to admit I teared up a bit when they brought Top onto the pitch and celebrated with him.
Pure class and how all chairman/club relationships should be.

Especially poignant considering the super league debacle.

Bearnecessity · 15/05/2021 20:23

Very much so..@Absolutely ...you can see how much it meant to him and the team....Vardy..welling up....fab...my ds has supported them for some years and he doubted they would win today.....fab..fab..fab...

user1471453601 · 15/05/2021 20:24

Lovely scenes with Top. And Leicester goaly played a great game.

A bit meh, as far cups go, second half much more exciting for neutrals. As an lfc supporter, I'm glad for their manager, and as a human being, I'm glad for Top.

KenAdams · 15/05/2021 21:25

It means so much for our city, especially given the terrible time the club had literally at their home ground. Sad to see Top at alone.
