Just got an email to tell me I'm CEV... Er...

Namechanged. So I've checked - the email is legitimate. I've checked my online medical record and it's confirmed. How odd.

I mean, it's over a year late, no?

I finished chemo two years ago and am having ongoing treatment so it makes sense to me and to be fair we'd always been quite careful regardless of whether I was categorised as CEV or not, but I'm just a bit confused as to only why I'm receiving this communication...

Has anyone else had this? Could it just be my local surgery catching up on their paperwork?

You probably should have got it earlier this year when the 1.8 million were added to CEV.

Yes it happened to my sister. Same timescale and because of chemo and radiotherapy. She has been very cautious anyway irrespective of the letter.

@friendlycat thank you. That's reassuring to read. A similar situation. Yes we have been cautious anyway but it's just a bit odd!

My sister now has six monthly treatment infusions and her consultant said this could have triggered the letter but agreed it was late. As said she is being cautious anyway.

Is it not to encourage vaccine takeup?

They are finding out more about Covid-19 as time passes. Remember it is a young Coronavirus. You have been put on the list because it is generally reviewed and refreshed. I am CEV also just recently.

My DH was added to the list earlier this year ,and told to sheild , sheilding has been paused now though.
