8 hours to yourself...

So I've got roughly 8 hours until bed and it's my child free weekend. The weather is miserable. What would you do with that amount of time to yourself? I know I could easily waste a lot of it on here... Blush so thought I'd see how others would spend it!

Pee in peace
Read a book
Go for a walk

Bookaholic73 · 15/05/2021 14:26

All those little jobs that I keep putting off, then an afternoon movie in my PJs!

Enjoy!

Figmentofimagination · 15/05/2021 14:27

Treat yourself to a hot drink in peace.

Make sure everywhere is tidy and clean, then...
Read a book
Have a bath
Bake while listening to a podcast
Watch some absolute trash on Netflix or similar
Nap

Rainy days are my favourite

I've discovered it's quite easy to put them off even when I've got time..! Blush

Depending on the state of your house (mine is a disaster zone) I would do an hour of tidying, then an hour of reading, bake something that I like, have a very long bath, spend some time with 'Mr Rabbit', watch a movie no-one else wants to, then cook something nice whilst listening to good music

Misscupcake71 · 15/05/2021 14:36

Read, garden, bath, actually finish one episode of something in one go. Nap.

ComDummings · 15/05/2021 14:37

A bit of tidying and cleaning if needed to make everything look nice then a lovely bath and slob out! Netflix, glass of wine, a nice dinner, pampering, a good book...

inmyslippers · 15/05/2021 14:37

Gym, read and tv

Divineswirls · 15/05/2021 14:39

Watch trash TV whilst on MN and online shopping and read a bit of my book, which is kind of what I'm doing now anyway whilst cooking, washing and tidying in between.

wendz86 · 15/05/2021 15:12

I usually spend a couple of hours making the house nice and clean. Go to shop get myself some treats and then sit and watch rubbish tv/films with some wine.

aibutohavethisusername · 15/05/2021 16:31

Swimming. Coffee. Relax.

Drowninginwashing · 15/05/2021 16:33

I would have a nap, but then I have a 12 week old! If not tired I would go for a walk and do some baking and have a long bath.

Misty9 · 15/05/2021 16:56

Lots of bathing and napping fans here Grin

I get every other week to myself so it can be a challenge to find things to do, other than chores. But so far this afternoon I've painted a wall with a long needed 2nd coat, hoovered and now having a hot drink. All whilst listening to music. Am trying not to succumb to mindless TV and phone use...at least until this evening!
