have i killed my washing machine?!

So, I am clearly not to be trusted with grown up things!

I tried to wash a make up bag that had leaked products into. But when i just opened the machine it was filled with bits of rubber and cardboard all disintegrated! it was clearly not supposed to be washed this way.

Ive scooped up all the bits i can. wiped the inside of machine and rinsed filter.

But theres some remnants all caught up in the rim of the rubber seal. Im picking bits out but does that seal go into the machine? Theres holes and gaps I cant get into.

Am i better off getting plumber in or am i panicking?

I think it will be ok. Try and run it empty and see if it drains.

If it does get blocked there's usually a bit on the front that you can unscrew to manually empty the machine and clean out the filter (have lots of towels down!).

Ok t will be fine. Just run an empty wash to check it if you are worried.

Yes, if it runs and drains normally then it should be fine.
