Adult Socks by size? Or softer more stretchy?

So not quite needing diabetic socks, my generic supermarket socks are too tight. Where can I buy socks by size or that are a bit softer and stretchy? It’s the front of the ankle when I flex my foot that digs in

I ordered some nice walking socks from this company, and noticed that amongst other things they do a range of wide and soft top socks:

I'm a size 7 and often socks shrink after a few washes. Maybe try men's socks?

I wear the black boys' school from H&M - very soft and stretchy over swollen feet and ankles

I'm a size 7 and have wide feet. I always buy mens socks as I find ladies ones too small.

Men’s socks have a much bigger elastic cuff though

I have some socks from Sports Direct, bought for the teenager when he was still a size 6

This says size 1-6, but I struggle to see how someone in size 1 could wear them Grin
