We’re hoping to book a villa for Spain for later in the year (with cancellation as not that optimistic we’ll get to go but hey ho)
We’ve never been abroad with DS before and I feel quite anxious about it all.
Does anyone have advice on what to look out for accommodation/location wise with a 20month old?!
TIA & hope I’m making sense 😂

We found at that age, a hybrid between self catering and being catered for was wonderful. We did a self catering villa within a big old house. Pool, toys galore, sandpit, play area, farm animals you could feed, chickens with eggs to collect. Self catering for breakfast and lunch (warm rolls and croissant delivered in the morning) then dinner made for all the children at 5.30 with adults having a drink, and then the option to join a group meal on the terrace at 8pm with the baby monitor on in the apartment (very safe as all part of the same house). I’m not really one for enforced socialising but actually it was so nice to just casually chat to other adults in what is inevitably a very child centered holiday.

Are you looking at a private villa with pool?

Make sure there is no easy access to a pool. I wouldn't want to be constantly on guard. Fence or gated as a minimum.
