Is my son having enough formula?

We feed our 4 month old son every 3-4 hours 5 times in 24hrs and hes on 7oz 210ml each feed. Is that enough? Hes always fine after a feed never asking for more or showing sings for more so I assume he's full and I always give it to him when hes showing signs even if its early. Hes growing and putting on weight its just my husband keeps saying its not enough and he should be on like 7 feeds in 24hr? Can any help?

So over 1000ml a day? Sounds enough to me. They do start to spread out their feeds down to 4/5 bottles so he sounds perfect.

If he is having plenty of wet nappies, gaining weight and following his curve then enjoy it!

Where has he got the idea of 7 feeds? As an example the aptamil instructions say for a 3-4 month old 5 feeds of 180m and at 4-5 months 5 feeds of 210 mil so you sound basically perfect.

If he is having plenty of wet/ dirty nappies, putting on weight, is content when done and you are responsive feeding then he's all good. 😊

Sounds perfectly normal. Is your husband an infant nutritionist? Or just making things up?

If your baby is sticking to their centile on the growth chart, by definition your feeding is adequate!

The general advice is if they are having wet nappies and happy then there's not an issue. If he asks for more then give it to him. I demand fed mine (breast) and they were on 12+ feeds a day but I doubt they drank 7oz because on the odd occasion they were bottle fed they only took 2-3oz
