DH & kids bedtimes

... Are driving me crazy.

I'm currently hiding downstairs with newborn whilst he puts 4 and 2 year old to bed.

This is a newish routine since I was pregnant and works well, except his b**y timekeeping. They've been upstairs for an hour and only just started stories, and this is just teeth/pyjamas, he's not doing a bath (I do that).

This is pretty typical. My gripe is that I can't switch off until I've done goodnight kisses and know the kids are done for the day, plus I hardly get to see him before I'm nodding off at 10pm.

I know it's a first world problem but gah! It annoys me

Yeah suppose so, I miss doing it sometimes but also can't when my back is killing me after having newborn strapped to me all day. I just don't get it when the kids end up in tears and overhyped and overtired cos they're not asleep til 9. And for the record bedtimes can be lovely but can be bloody hard work, so am not complaining too loudly!
