I am seeing this phrase quite a bit - what's that all about then?

It is twatometer related.
If cute is invoked then you know that a dial up to 11 is imminent.

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 13/05/2021 22:42

I'm even more puzzled now Grin

It means I think I’m beautiful and want loads of comments to make me feel
Dead good but once all the comments stop I’ll delete it

An early twenties thing? My godson wrote this then deleted his photo. He is suicidal and has made several very serious attempts. He breaks my heart.

Rakip · 13/05/2021 23:04

Like farming basically, like it while you can, people rarely delete it though. Some people just do it to take the piss though, if it's not a good photo etc

Cas112 · 13/05/2021 23:28

It was a post that became a meme and now young people just use it as a caption

caramelloo · 13/05/2021 23:43

It's used as a joke. Years ago a few people would post photos of themselves with captions saying "felt cute, might delete later" but now it is used almost 100% ironically.

LittleBlackSox · 14/05/2021 01:27

Think you look nice so you post the photo but you’re not sure so might delete the photo later.

wingsnthat · 14/05/2021 01:43

An early twenties thing?

I’m early 20s and this was “a thing” for us in 2019 and earlier years. Anyone using it now is late to the party and out of the loop. Sort of like how a tweet goes viral and then a year later it’s plastered over Facebook and just discovered by a new demographic who acts like it’s revolutionary?

Wow, makes sense now. A gorgeous friend of mine posted it - she is insecure but no need to be. Sad.

Well, now she’s insecure and hopelessly 2019. Grin
