Pensions

Can we have a chat about pensions and other ways to prepare for retirement for people that had missed the boat.

I consider myself quite educated but my enngagement with pensions has been to sign up to my various company scheme and thats it.

I don't even know how i get the money at the end!

I also think there is a lot of chat about how the bit in your twenties makes a difference but i dont know what other options for building money there are if you missed that bit out or if your employer is very tight and does the legal minimum.

www.pensionwise.gov.uk/en/browse/your-pension-details

Lots of links, at bottom of page to start you off.

How old are you OP, you may be eligible for free advice via Pensionwise 1 to 1 session of you are over 50.

Aprilwasverywet i know! I'm booking as soon as I'm eligible.

My brother had face to face appointment which was great, he took in paperwork he had, no idea what to do and tells me person dealing with him was very helpful. Whoever it was had worked in pensions all their life, really knew his stuff.

DB told friend but they had phone appointments due to pandemic and was good but DB glad his was face to face. There was a follow up information sent too I recall.

Maybe be back to meeting in person by the time you are eligible. I'll def book mine when I can.

There is the money and pensions service too but i cant actually find pension info on there Confused except for pensions dashboard which again DB heard about but think it's a few years away yet.

Can you tell I've had a pensions panic this year?
