Will vets permanently be consulting outside?

Just wondering as ours now have permanent weather gazebos in their surgery car parks and nothing has been mentioned about if and when owners might be allowed in again.

I know each practice is different and making their own decisions but I'm wondering if mine is thinking of permanently keeping the current arrangements.

Ours are allowing people in and have done since January.

One person per pet (with the exception of PTS) and all wearing masks/socially distancing. You can wait in the waiting room too as they've spaced it out so you can't all sit together.

The only way to answer this question is phone them up and ask, because, as you say, each practice is different and making their own decisions. What someone on here's practice is doing has no bearing on what your practice is doing.

I did ask last week but was told nothing is changing for the foreseeable future.

Wow I'd be very unhappy with consulting outside, gazebo's are not exactly secure.

I wouldn't like that. My cat would be off if I took her out her basket outside. She's a bugger.

Thinking of changing practices as it would be good to be allowed in with my pets.

Will see what happens when restrictions lift.

I don't mind at all, but then my vet is ace.

My little chihuahua boy was put to sleep during lockdown. The vet took him inside and gave him a pre-med ; came back out with him and there was a canula in place. He laid him on my lap in the car and put him to sleep. Dare I say it was the nicest thing he could have done and very peaceful and private.
I realise it's not for everyone but I kind of like the outside way of them doing things

Ours have been coming outside. Getting the pets. Treating them and then coming back outside.

Then if u have to pay you go inside to pay. Don’t see the point really
