Passport renewal waiting times

My passport has just expired and am planning to renew it, however due to Covid I've heard that there are delays and backlogs. I was just wondering if anyone has renewed their passport lately and how long it took for it to be delivered?

Did mine 2 months ago, and it was back within 2 weeks - we did the photos on our phones as well which made it all super easy

Dh came back within 5 working days, sent over Easter on Thursday back the Monday following bh.

No delay to mine, all happened as I would have expected pre Covid.

We just had all 4 family passports renewed and the service was brilliant.

It took 1 week from completing the applications online & sending the old passports in to receiving the new passports!

Just waiting for the old ones to be sent back now.

No delay to DS either - and we weren’t in a rush and ended up sending actual photographs rather than digital (which they warn you can take longer) and not bothering with check and send service. It still came back promptly and with no problems. So you should be fine

Got one adult renewed and a first baby one in April and I think both took less than two weeks

It’s taken 10 days for my new passport to reach me.
Now I can go wherever I like!

Renewed mine about a month ago. Did it all online and it was back 5 days later. Received text updates of where it was up to throughout. Great service.

Ours where really quick. 5 days give or take.

I sent my application on Thursday (2 weeks ago). I had to send my old passport as well. Sent that on Monday, had a text to say it had arrived on Tuesday and had my new passport delivered in Wednesday! Quickest renewal ever
