Tops for children with a large head

I'm having to get rid of lots of DS (3 years old) tops that I cannot physically get over his head, but would fit him otherwise. He does have a very large head.

Does anyone know where I can buy tops for him with an extra large neck hole?

Would polo shirts work as you could unbutton them? Rugby style tops too.

Polo shirts and Henley tops!

I stretch them for my DC

Or size up but it depends how smart you like him to look, I’m not fussed about my kids looking really smart unless it’s a special occasion so sizing up works for us

Unfortunately stretching them isn't really an option as I'd need to double the size of the opening. Also in a size up he'd look swamped and still would have the same issue with getting his head through.

Any T-shirt with the two little buttons at the neck style.
Hoodies that zip up, not over the head ones, or jumpers that are thin and stretchy.

If feel your big headed child pain. As did my vagina 🙄

Tops with poppers on the shoulder area work. Or “boat” / “bateau” necklines. Or if you’re good at sewing there are tutorials online as to how to alter existing tops.

Same issue here, we do

  • jumpers and henley tops with buttons
  • size up on short sleeved
  • zip up jumpers
  • handmade tops and request a huuuuge head hole

Polo shirts or envelope necks.

My DS is nearly 3 and his head measures over the 100th percentile for his age Grin
I've found polo tops worse as although they have buttons they've got no stretch to them so there's no give at all, especially if the top is in his size it will mean the head hole is automatically going to be too small.
Best ones I've found are stretchy tshirts or long sleeved tops a size too big for him!
