My friend is turning 50.

I want to get her a bit of luxury. Budget of £100.

I can't think what to get her. Something that will last. I need inspiration please.

But we don't know her. And you haven't given us any info on which to base suggestions ... Sad

Does she want luxury?

EversoDelighted · 12/05/2021 22:05

What are her interests?

Davros · 12/05/2021 22:53

Neom electric diffuser

Biggest Hotel Chocolat hamper available.

She loves her children, facials, Botox, skiing, cosy evenings, her counselling career.

Cosy evenings - maybe some pampering stuff in a hamper. Made up by yourself. Face masks, new pjs, cosy slippers, bottle of champagne and chocolates!

I turned fifty yesterday and asked DH for some earrings. I chose two pairs from Sarah Hickey which he bought online. Just a thought - I saw her recommended on Mumsnet.

Really nice storm lantern if she is into cosy. Look at Emma Bridgewater .

Hydrate · 13/05/2021 06:36

I like the storm lantern suggestion.

EversoDelighted · 13/05/2021 07:04

I'm early 50s, I like the storm lantern idea, although not keen on the Emma Bridgewater one, there are some beautiful plain ones out there. I'm not keen on Emma Bridgewater fullstop.

A diffuser is a nice idea too if she hasn't already got one. It's a bit the wrong time of year for it but the Lakeland heated throws are great for a cosy evening in.

I'd also be very happy with giftcards to buy books with.

My dh is turning 50, we don't do big pressies but he bought himself some widely expensive tech gear but did that himself, we d get it wrong.
For the day I got him a few golf t shirts which he wanted, a photo book made of memories and I ve a few days to make up his 365 jar.
Its a big jar with 365 messages, some jokes, what we love about him, treats he can have..like brekkie in bed or favourite cake, some inside jokes we as a family have and a few quotes. ..basically he can pull one out every day for a year to show how much we love him. It cost nothing but OMG its a PITA to make...might make it 6 months lol

Halfwreckedbykids · 13/05/2021 07:23

Plus cake balloons etc a party but it can only be us this year.
