After rading a post about feeling flat despite restrictions easing (and my own mental health issues atm) I thought it would be nice to start a thread where we help each other find joy in the little things.

What gives meaning to your life each day? What little things make you happy?

For me it's having a nice coffee and getting outside for a walk. Chatting to a friend not on zoom is helping too! Would love to see what helps everyone else. Smile

dog walk through the woods....just me and him

no fear....(despite the recent murder of Julia James in Snowdown)

I love early summer/late spring and the peaceful woodland noises

Waking up naturally without an alarm! Early enough for me to process the day and let thoughts come and go accompanied by a nice cuppa.

Nice simple stretch and breathing exercise ( takes 5 mins) Pick a bright joyful outfit and conquer the day!

Lovely idea for a nice thread very refreshing to see 🌼

I usually see a robin every day and there is something very sweet and uplifting about them.

I also enjoy seeing and hearing geese coming home for the evening.

Getting up early and going out with the dogs - especially if it's a sunny day.

Coffee and a really nice piece of cake in a posh coffee shop - with dp or a friend

Driving with really good tunes on and singing along

Getting into a clean bed

A nice cross country walk to our nearest little town to pick up a cup of tea and a cake.
Watching the birds feeding in the garden and our Blue Tit family in the bird box.
I've developed a real love of jigsaws during lockdown which will be hard to give up.
Pootling in the garden.

What a lovely idea for a post! Feeling a bit meh just now and I can't really put my finger on it but I do try to find joy in the small things.

I have been enjoying watching the birds in the garden at the feeders and the tit family making use of my bird box has made me happy.

Trying to do a bit more self care even if its just moisturising my feet or putting on nail varnish

Reading I've always loved reading but have read loads since the start if the pandemic

We have robin too, and this year, finally we managed to feed them off our hands. When I see the robin outside the kitchen door waiting for me, it really makes me happy.
