Changing owner

I need to change ownership of dads car to my little brother. Can't find the log book anywhere. Is there a way to do it without it?

BTW changing the V5 doesn't change ownership, only who the registered keeper is.

Ahhh so confused then. Dad is sadly no longer with us and he normally did all this.
