What stupid/silly/daft thing have you done?

Bit random, I just remember the time I found a Hot Wheel (toy car) in the toilet...instead of taking it out I thought "It's no bigger or heavier than a poop surely" so flushed it. Obviously it got stuck.

Can't think of any more off the top of my head. Come on I can't be the only one. What silly or "stupid" thing have you done that afterwards you thought What was I thinking?!

Smacked myself in the face with an oven tray......twice

Ate some chocolate cake with my kask still on. Just smooshed the cake onto the outside of my mask. Had to do a walk of shame to get a new mask with chocolate cake all over my mask!

Sat next to new electric pottery kiln, the top is insulated by a particularly large piece of heatproof something, and the sides are heatproof something then aluminium. Touched the sides deciding they shouldn’t be that hot as the top wasn’t. Was only the briefest touch because I knew it would be quite but still lost some skin on my hands!

Another razor one. As a teenager I decided to cut my fringe and not able to find a pair of scissors, used a razor blade and my hand slipped and cut the surface of my eye - I told my mum I'd rubbed my eye too hard as it was watering for about a week.

Another time I leant against the glass panel on the bus stop and there was no glass in it, as it had been vandalised that weekend. I went flying and ended up in a heap of arms and legs on the floor laughing hysterically - it cheered the Monday morning bus queue up.

The first time I drove alone in my new car shortly after passing my driving test I needed petrol. Pulled into the station and drove straight into the pump. Lots of damage and so I had to wait for the manager to get there and listen to all the customers coming in and asking the cashier "what idiot did that?" 🙄

Whilst changing a picture in a glass photo frame, I’d laid things out on my bed and sat down, looked at the glass insert and randomly wondered how strong it was by leaning my hand on it.
Not very after it shattered quite quickly!
Why...

Making a poached egg on toast.
Water on to boil, toast popped a bit soon so put on plate & buttered it; picked up egg and cracked it...onto the toast, instead of into the pan of boiling water.

Have also poured boiling water into the instant coffee jar instead of into the cup waiting with a teaspoon of coffee in it 🙄

Tested to see if a razor was blunt by running my finger across the blade.

It's wasn't blunt.

I did that with my thumb

Took ages for it to stop bleeding

Never did it again
