Girl has turned 3...U/C Rules re. Employment vs Self Employment

I have a just turned 3 year old little girl. Universal credit are on my back to start work immediately even though she doesn't start school until Sept . U/C suggested I just dump her off anywhere so I can work. We have no friends or family in the area.
I'd like to start my own cleaning business. (I have housekeeping experience).
So there are two questions here:
1.) If I take any job at 16hrs per week, am I right to assume we also continue to receive u/c support? Or is it removed once I start work?
2.) And the same question again re starting a business (do we continue to receive support or not)

Many thanks in advance! :)

You cant just dump her for work...ignore that suggestion. The requirement is to spend 16hours looking for suitable work at the moment.
So do job searches applications etc and interviews for jobs you could work around your daughter.

You should get 15hours free childcare the term after her 3rd birthday, so guessing that's what you mean by school in Sept? So if it's not possible to start til Sept you can talk to potential employers about setting something up for then.

You still get support from UC.
