Ebay

Hi , we sold an item on eBay through auction 6 days ago , & we haven’t received payment , we have sent an invoice to the buyer politely asking if they still want the item but we haven’t had a response , she did message once saying that she’d organise a weekend to pick up .
I realise that we can’t force her to purchase the item & we don’t know her circumstances but I’m really annoyed that she hasn’t had the common courtesy to let us know what’s happening
What would you do ?

Open an unpaid request to get your fees back then relist.

If she isn't responding to messages I honestly wouldn't give it another thought.

There's a cancel sale option and I think you can pick an option along the lines of 'buyer hasn't paid or been in contact' so if you do that, the buyer will get a notification and if they ignore that, you're free to offer the item to the second bidder.

Yes, it's incredibly rude.

Were there other bidders? If so I would start the process to offer it to second highest bidder. She has already messed you around for 6 days so hopefully the second highest bidder hasn't already bought elsewhere.

Thankyou for your replies tbh this is the first time this has ever happened usually people tend to pay straight away & it is down right rude .
It seems like they were playing a game , I’m tempted to put them as a nine payer

Mark it as an unpaid item case, that then flags up in the system against them.
If appropriate you can raise a second chance offer to the next bidder

An allowance of 2 days to pay is the norm, but if someone keeps in touch I will generally accept a later payment, for example if they want to wait a few days to pay day...... it would usually be better if they contacted before bidding as beyond 2 days is against ebays bid policy

SuperGecko · 11/05/2021 16:29

Just open an unpaid item case

CandyCaneLane0 · 11/05/2021 16:57

Open an unpaid item case and then block them

Thankyou for your replies greatly appreciated, I’ll do that
