Sorry, this is long!
Started with severe toothache, I'm not registered with a practice so go through the dental emergency phone line.
I get an appointment with dentist 1 - xray, abscess/infection, 5 day course of amoxicillin.
5 days later, still in agony. Go back through the emergency number, get sent to dentist 2. More xrays, attempted extraction but couldn't numb me due to the infection, so extraction failed. 7 day course of erythromicin prescribed, and another appointment on day 4 of antibiotics. This time they were able to remove the tooth. This was on April 30.
This weekend, so 8/9days post extraction, the site is still really swollen, I look at it and it looks green?
So today, back on to the emergency number, they arrange for me to go to dentist 3. Told I have dry socket and packing put in extraction site, no need for antibiotics.
3 hours later the packing has fallen out.
Do I need to go back again?
